A USA patient decided to get his gall bladder removed in India. He chose Indian Health Guru Consultants for laproscopic cholesystectomy (gall bladder removal).

Mark Nelson, Michigan Patient on his laproscopic cholesystectomy surgery in India-

“I am a resident of Michigan, USA decided to get my gall bladder removal surgery (laproscopic cholesystectomy) done in India. I had been suffering from gall bladder stones for the last three years .I had taken medicines for stone removal but they brought only temporary relief. My condition was worsening day by day. I was suffering from acute stomach ache and vomiting constantly. The pain hampered his every day life. My doctor advised me to undergo gall bladder removal surgery as a permanent solution to the problem. I learnt about Indian Health Guru Consultants by searching the web for better options for gall bladder surgery than were available in USA. I found that the wait for the surgery was too long and I could not even endure the thought of prolonging my misery through that long wait. The second factor was cost. Being uninsured I couldn’t afford the high cost of surgery in USA.  After learning about Indian Health Guru Consultants I e- mailed my medical reports to Dr. Dheeraj Bojwani. I am highly pleased with the prompt action that Dr. Dheeraj took in my case. I received very quick replies to my e mails. I got the answers as soon as I sent the mails. Thanks to Dr. Dheeraj, all formalities regarding my visa and travel arrangements and hotel stay were done at a lightening speed. I was in Mumbai just 15 days later and was driven straight to the hospital. Dr. Dheeraj was there to personally look after all the arrangements. The surgery was performed on the very next day and in three days’ time I was out of the hospital. I must especially thank Dr. Dheeraj for arranging the sightseeing trip in Mumbai and to the historical Ajanta caves. I could return back to Michigan and resume work very quickly. My surgery and the holiday in India cost just a fraction of what I would have spent on the surgery in USA

India has become the uncontested leader in the delivery of healthcare of international standards within the Asian subcontinent. India has become the healthcare destination for the global community. Many USA patients prefer to get their surgery in India rather than wait for their insurance providers to approve their surgery procedures. It is common knowledge that the uninsured population in America cannot afford the high surgery costs of Laproscopic cholesystectomy  surgery. Resultantly, there has been a surge of resident Americans to travel abroad for surgery. This trend is extending to the non-resident Indians as well. Many Indians have settled in other countries like Canada, Australia, UK and UAE for various reasons. Most of these International patients prefer India as their choice for surgery.

I am prepared to allow anyone to contact me at any time to ask me questions about the events during my 10-day stay with them. In closing the charges made were unmatchable in New Jersey or throughout Australia. I assume this applies generally worldwide. In the past 30 years, the costs of health care have soared in developed countries, especially in the United States. Due to rapidly escalating health care costs, Americans, Europeans, Canadians and Australians in ever increasing numbers began to search for alternatives that could reduce their personal out of pocket medical expenses. In the last few years, millions of people from developed nations have chosen to become Medical Tourists.  Indian fees for medical and surgical care are very low compared to what is paid in the United States, Europe or Australia. In some cases, the savings from dental work alone can give people extra money for a luxury vacation. Medical Tourism can certainly be a win-win proposition. While taking care of health needs at deep discounts, shopping excursions, river tours, sight-seeing, nature excursions, intellectual pursuits, religious pilgrimages, cruises, ancient site tours, safari’s, hunting or fishing trips and visits to international beaches can all be arranged around a medical appointment schedule.  Medical Tourism is a simple concept: people combine medical treatments with vacations, and use the savings on their medical care to pay for the vacation.

Salford Patient’s Experience about Gallbladder Surgery Bangalore India

Madison Wilson a Salford patient describes about her Gallbladder Surgery and her stay in Bangalore India.

“We were recommended to go through Indian Health Guru Consultants to India for my operation which was the removal of the gallbladder. On arrival in Mumbai We were welcomed and taken to the hospital by the staff member of Indian Health Guru Consultants to where staff greeted us and our every need was taken care of. We arrived at 3:00 A.M. Later that morning we met the surgeon who took me step by step through the procedure of the operation. I then had all the necessary checks for the operation and was taken to operation theatre the following morning to remove the gallbladder which he successfully did by Keyhole Surgery. He showed my mum the gallbladder and explained everything. The sisters and nurses cared for my mum while I was in theatre they were very caring to me after the operation, and cared for me extremely well in the following days. The standards are very high of the hospital and I will recommend anyone to go got through Indian Health Guru Consultants. My mum and I would like to thank all the staff of Indian Health Guru Consultants as they have been so kind & caring.

The India hospitals and clinics that cater to the tourist market are among the best in the world, and many are staffed by physicians trained at major medical centers in the United States and Europe. India hospitals perform nearly 15,000 heart operations every year, and the death rate among patients during surgery is only 0.8 percent–less than half that of most major hospitals in the United States. In India hospitals are backed by sophisticated research infrastructures as well. India is among the world’s leading countries for biotechnology research, while both India and South Korea are pushing ahead with stem cell research at a level approached only in Britain. In many foreign clinics, too, the doctors are supported by more registered nurses per patient than in any Western facility, and some clinics provide single-patient rooms that resemble guestrooms in four-star hotels, with a nurse dedicated to each patient 24 hours a day. Add to this the fact that some clinics assign patients a personal assistant for the post-hospital recovery period and throw in a vacation incentive as well, and the deal gets even more attractive. Additionally, many Asian airlines offer frequent-flyer miles to ease the cost of returning for follow-up visits.
