New York Patient’s testimonial on Skin cancer Surgery in India

Chloe Hill from New York shares his experience of undergoing Skin cancer Surgery in India

“Initially it was a frightening experience to learn that I had skin cancer, I had no idea what I would be in for which was pretty scary. I was quite anxious prior to surgery, knowing that the work I was to have done was major and would take 8 to 9 hours. But I was treated so well that I began to feel more relaxed. However Dr Dheeraj Bojwani and nurses briefed me thoroughly on the procedure and what to expect on the day of surgery itself and afterwards during recovery. It was disconcerting experiencing the large pressure dressings for the first time, but the nurses were extremely caring and I quickly adjusted – they were only there for 24 hours after the surgery anyway. I consider I couldn’t have been better looked after – from the initial consultation, to immediate biopsy, to surgery within a few weeks – there was no dragging the chain and I felt I had been made a priority. I could not be more pleased, Surgeon made a marvelous job of reconstructing my nose – no one would even know I’ve had major surgery. I have 2 friends who have had surgery elsewhere by the “cut and graft” method which has left them with scarring. So I tell everybody now that if they ever need skin cancer removed from their face they must see Indian Health Guru Consultants for surgery. “

A Patient Cameron Hill from Peterborough to India for his Colon surgery

Cameron Hill from Peterborough shares his experience of Colon surgery Mumbai India

My husband…had colon surgery through Indian health Guru Consultant’s .He and I want to let you know how much we appreciate the care that he received. We felt as though he must have been the only patient at the hospital as everyone involved with his care seemed to have the time and concern to provide everything that he needed…Surgeon must have worked his magic in the operating room, because his recovery has been perfect. Actually, it wasn’t magic – we had the prayers of hundreds, behind him, however, Dr Dheeraj Bojwani did his part exceedingly well. We so appreciated his providing all the information that we needed and wanted. He was direct yet reassuring. He made us feel like he was our new best friend…We have sung the praises for Indian Health Guru Consultants for the last month to everyone who would listen. I would definitely recommend traveling to India for surgery it’s cheaper and the results are brilliant

Mr. & Mrs. Hill

Traveling India for Colon surgery can give you access to top quality health care quickly and cheaply. India has one of the world’s most extensive health care systems supported by a long tradition of health and medicine dating back to Ayurveda. Indian doctors routinely post-graduate train at American and European university hospitals and they are the backbone of both the National Health Service in the United Kingdom and hospitals in the United States. Last year alone 150,000 patients visited India for medical treatment. The came from countries around the world: USA, Canada, UK, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, the Middle East, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, the Central Asian Republics. Colon surgery in India is safe, expert and supported by high quality equipment and well-trained nursing and ancillary staff. The hospitals in India are staffed with specialists who also act as consultants in the West. Many are world-recognized experts. These are very highly experienced surgeons and they reassure that surgery in India is safe, professional and expert. There is no doubt that the Indian medical industry’s main appeal is low-cost treatment. Most estimates claim treatment costs in India start at around a tenth of the price of comparable treatment in America or Britain. A large draw to medical tourism is the convenience in comparison to that of other countries. Some countries that operate from a public health-care system are so taxed that it can take a considerable amount of time, sometimes even years, to get needed medical care. The time spent waiting for a procedure, such as a hip replacement, can be a year or more in Britain and Canada; however, in India, a patient could feasibly have an operation the day after their arrival.

Europe Patient’s Experience about Radio Frequency Ablation Surgery Bangalore India

Joseph Cox a Europe patient describes about her Radio Frequency Ablation Surgery and her stay in Bangalore India.

I contacted The Indian Health Guru Consultants for help with seeing a Cardiac Specialist in INDIA for my heart condition – I required a procedure called Radio Frequency Ablation. Dr Dheeraj Bojwani of Indian Health Guru Consultants made all the arrangements for my wife and I to go to India – flights, visas, consultations etc. – Indian Health Guru Consultants referred me to see a US Board Certified Cardiac Surgeon I attended this hospital for investigations into my Atrial Fibrillation,. After 6 days of intensive research and every conceivable test possible, they advised me to undergo the surgery immediately and the fact that their decision was for my benefit. I could not have received such excellent service from any other hospital throughout the world. Right from being met at the airport in the early hours of the morning the unmatchable care demonstrated by all the Nursing Staff, the beds being changed and the suite being cleaned daily by the boys, the friendliness and approachability of the consultants and doctors, makes me unable to praise and thank them all sufficiently.. My wife slept in the same suite as myself, which facility is available to husbands or wives, partners, relations etc so that the patient has support from a loved one. In closing the charges made were unmatchable in the EUROPE or throughout Europe. I assume this applies generally worldwide. We made friends there. I would definitely recommend traveling to India for surgery it’s cheaper and the results are brilliant.”

In the past 30 years, the costs of health care have soared in developed countries, especially in the United States. Due to rapidly escalating health care costs, Americans, Europeans, Canadians and Australians in ever increasing numbers began to search for alternatives that could reduce their personal out of pocket medical expenses. In the last few years, millions of people from developed nations have chosen to become Medical Tourists.  Indian fees for medical and surgical care are very low compared to what is paid in the United States, Europe or Australia. In some cases, the savings from dental work alone can give people extra money for a luxury vacation. Medical Tourism can certainly be a win-win proposition. While taking care of health needs at deep discounts, shopping excursions, river tours, sight-seeing, nature excursions, intellectual pursuits, religious pilgrimages, cruises, ancient site tours, safari’s, hunting or fishing trips and visits to international beaches can all be arranged around a medical appointment schedule.  Medical Tourism is a simple concept: people combine medical treatments with vacations, and use the savings on their medical care to pay for the vacation.

Brianna Walker a patient from USA for her Appendix Surgery in Chennai India

USA patient Brianna Walker shares her experience of Appendix Surgery in Chennai India –

I had a round of tests that saw me going from department to department; all these tests were carried out with utmost thoroughness, nurses explaining as we went along. All procedures were carried out with care and kindness. The patient’s welfare seems to be considered all times. Staff is ready to chat in a relaxed atmosphere. I am very impressed with the young nurses; they are very concentrated in carrying out various duties.Tuesday evening I was told that my appendix is going to be removed tomorrow, liked the open, frank attitude of the surgeon. Had a blip, had to have more tests, had something that might be a problem, had more specialised tests, cannot believe the level of care, better than anything I have had in the past, nothing is left to chance. Had my operation on Wednesday, as I was going into theatre there was a prayer said for me, never had anything like that before Staff of all grades have a caring attitude, the dietician will try to cater for likes and dislikes. I would come to Indian through Indian Health Guru Consultants without any hesitation, if I needed to. The service on every level has exceeded my expectations.

UK Patient’s Experience about Hernia Surgery Bangalore India

Erin Stewart a UK patient describes about her Hernia Surgery and her stay in Bangalore India.

Erin Stewart who came to India for the Hernia Surgery in Bangalore. She is a resident of United Kingdom. She was treated by the team of Centre for Hernia Support. I am so thankful to have planned my hernia surgery with Dheeraj Bojwani and Indian Health Guru Consultants. Infact I was a bit hesitant initially to travel to India for this and I asked so many questions to Dheeraj. But he was always there for me, answering all my queries and helping me every time. He came to meet me at the Hospital and checked out all the services being provided to me. I was very overwhelmed from the long flight when I reached India, but gradually as things settled down I knew this was the righteous decision. The people I have been treated by, the nursing staff, the domestic staff, everybody without exception has been delightful and I am very conscious of their efforts to make my stay a happy one.   My outcome was wonderful and much better than my best expectation. When I return to the UK, when I have the opportunity, I will recommend Indian Health Guru Consultants to everyone seeking Hernia surgery in India.

New Port Patient’s Experience about Hysterectomy Surgery Bangalore India

Abigail Williams a New Port patient describes about her Hysterectomy Surgery and her stay in Bangalore India.

“I am 53 yrs old and have had 4 children. My uterus has been enlarged but stable for years. At my last doctor’s visit, the doctor said my uterus was even larger and to be prepared for a hysterectomy soon. He said we would monitor it, which we have done with ultrasounds and exams periodically. He told me my estradiol level was at the high end of normal and that could be making my uterus grow. I asked him what I could do to reverse this and he said he did not know of anything that could reverse this problem. I researched for myself and found Indian Health Guru Consultants. After speaking to Dr Dheeraj Bojwani and reading several emails, I was hopeful. The entire cost was actually affordable. Indian Health Guru Consultants was flawless at providing and arranging every detail of my trip to India. The hospital, doctor, accommodations, and everything about India were way beyond my expectations. Every little detail from travel arrangements to communicating with the health professionals in India went off without a hitch. The skill of my surgeon and the level of care and caring from everyone at the hospital were superb. After my release from the hospital, our stay at the Indian hotel was like a dream. If you have to have surgery, I honestly cannot think of a more perfect place to recover than India. I would recommend the experience to anyone without hesitation.”

Abigail Williams

The India hospitals and clinics that cater to the tourist market are among the best in the world, and many are staffed by physicians trained at major medical centers in the United States and Europe. India hospitals perform nearly 15,000 heart operations every year, and the death rate among patients during surgery is only 0.8 percent–less than half that of most major hospitals in the United States. In India hospitals are backed by sophisticated research infrastructures as well. India is among the world’s leading countries for biotechnology research, while both India and South Korea are pushing ahead with stem cell research at a level approached only in Britain. In many foreign clinics, too, the doctors are supported by more registered nurses per patient than in any Western facility, and some clinics provide single-patient rooms that resemble guestrooms in four-star hotels, with a nurse dedicated to each patient 24 hours a day. Add to this the fact that some clinics assign patients a personal assistant for the post-hospital recovery period and throw in a vacation incentive as well, and the deal gets even more attractive. Additionally, many Asian airlines offer frequent-flyer miles to ease the cost of returning for follow-up visits.

A Patient Lilly from Peterborough to India for her Pyeloplasty

Lilly’s parents from Peterborough shares their experience of Lilly’s Pyeloplasty Delhi India

The youngest of Mrs. & Mr. Griffin three children, Every so often, Lilly would complain—using what communication skills she possessed—of pain in her abdomen. Once Lilly was potty trained, it became clear that something was wrong. Her urine appeared cloudy—something parents wouldn’t notice when their child was still in diapers. Mrs. & Mr. Griffin took her back to the Doctor. She did a urine culture and determined that Lilly was suffering from a bladder infection.  Doctor ran tests, including ultrasounds, and determined that Lilly was dealing with more than a bladder infection. He found megaureter1 on Lilly’s right side and that her right kidney was significantly smaller than her left, probably resulting from an infection that had stunted the kidney’s growth. He also was able to detect vesicoureteral reflux in the otherwise normal left kidney. This is a condition in which urine flows backward, from the bladder to the kidney. Over time, that can worsen and result in kidney damage. Doctor ran tests, including ultrasounds, and determined that Lilly was dealing with more than a bladder infection. From the very first contact with Indian Health Guru Consultants, I have been extremely impressed with the caring and professionalism of Dr Dheeraj Bojwani. An organization that is very professional and put the needs of the customer first.  This trip lived up to and exceeded my expectations. My surgeon was excellent. He was a fine gentleman, a great technician and explained everything thoroughly. Nursing care in the hospital was exceptional. The hospital was interested in my experience as well, and went to great lengths to get insight on how they could improve their services. Indian Health Guru Consultants gave me the best customer service I’ve received in many years. They were attentive to detail, supportive during my visit abroad and kept my family informed of my progress as well. UK healthcare should be so efficient and patient oriented.”

Mrs & Mr Griffin  Peterborough

India is fast becoming the world’s first choice destination for healthcare services – especially cardiac surgery. With rapidly expanding infrastructure, clinical expertise and international standard implementation, India is servicing the healthcare needs, at reasonable costs, of international patients from around the world. In recent years many countries have experienced a shortage of specialty care providers, which has restricted their access to quality and cost effective medical care. In sharp contrast India has concentrated on increasing the availability of specialty cares thereby avoiding the shortage of medical professionals. In fact, the availability of clinical expertise, reasonable surgery costs, and internationally trained and educated medical professionals is a major factor in the growth of foreign patient procedures in India. Among modern India’s achievements is its really significant contribution to global healthcare delivery. It is now highly regarded worldwide as a quality provider of medical talent and healthcare delivery.
